Jasmin St. Claire has gone from pornstar to wrestler to one-woman show.

Jasmin St. Claire was one the most controversial porn actors of the 1990s. After earning a reputation in shock culture, she was able to find two other public careers.

How Jasmin S Clair got into the porn industry


Jasmin began her adult life in New York City. She told Holly Randall about it in a recent episode on her Unfiltered podcast.



She worked at a bar with feature dancers. She explained that there were three avenues she could take to make money in adult entertainment.

She says, "I was the largest freak show in the 90s," without any hint of regret. "I didn't see myself as an adult film star. I was part of the 90s shock-culture era."



This era also saw the rise of Jerry Springer and Howard Stern.



She was inspired to porn by a Jerry Springer interview. She was cast as a stripper on the scripted show. Her Jasmin St. Claire character, which was mouthy and controversial, was created.



Jasmin is proud that her entry to the porn world was voluntary. It's an important distinction that Jasmin is keen to make, as so many people were at the time getting into porn due to a boyfriend pushing them.



The transition to adult movies


Jasmin was part of the shocking culture that she was involved in and took on her most famous challenge. Jasmin was the star of World's Biggest Gang Bang 2, a sequel to the porn movie that originally starred Annabel Chhong.



According to publicity about the gang bang, she was a sex acter with more than 300 men. The gang bang has two stories. One says it was the "biggest con ever done in the porn industry."



In an interview she gave for a book, she said that only 30 men were on the set. These performers were strategically placed and filmed, and she had sex only with about ten of them.



Jasmin St. Claire does not go into too much detail during the podcast with Holly. Although she does mention that the shooting took about ten hours, and there were many guys around, it was "like an insane asylum!"

Despite being brunette, she is not the typical 90s pornstar. Although the industry favors brunettes over blondes, it was a first for the industry to have the best-selling and most well-known stars not be blonde.



The transition from porn star into pro wrestler


Jasmin talks about her transition to a mainstream career, and how it was fluid. Jasmin had a contract with a producer, but she gradually stopped shooting and began to spend more time with the pro wrestlers she had met.



These wrestlers were part of Extreme Championship Wrestling's (ECW) federation. This was the third federation that was behind the WWF and WCW names if you didn't like wrestling in the 90s.



This is not the best career path, so Jasmin had classes to improve her wrestling skills and was able to fight professionally.



Her name is still well-known in the industry, and she continues to get calls asking if she can sign at wrestling conventions.

Jasmin began acting in mainstream movies around the same time she was wrestling. To improve her acting skills, Jasmin attended acting classes in New York City and Los Angeles.



In 2005, her first movie credits were added to her resume with the straight-to video Swap Zombies! Dorm Daze 2 in 2006, and Dorm Daze 3. Her acting career was cut short and she became a veejay, among other things, on The Metal Scene TV Show.
