OnlyFans announced on August 20 the th 2021 that it will not allow creators to post sex or masturbation as of October 1 the st.


This is a major blow to the sex industry (SW) as well as the creators.

What happened to OnlyFans's e-mail?

OnlyFans sent an email to all creators on August 20 th 2021 informing them of an update to the Acceptable Use Policy. The new changes will mean that any sexually explicit content cannot be posted after October 1, , and all old content must be deleted before December 1 .


After five years of OnlyFans' growth, this shift is due to its open policy toward sex workers. According to the email, this change was made because banks and payment processors won’t work with if the company continues to host pornographic material.


OnlyFans has received payments in excess of $5 billion. Reports indicate that the site is used by between 1-2 million creators and as many as 130 million subscribers.


Although we don't know how many of the 1-2 million creators have posted explicit content, we do know that it will be many. Because of their work on OnlyFans, those creators have repaid their debts, bought cars, and made down-payments to their houses. They will now have to adapt.
